Don't be Ashamed

Joel 2:27 - And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

Do you think it pleases God to see his own people suffer? No, it does not; for the sake of his people He allows things to take place for a duration but quickly dissolves the problems.

Why do we get problems? It is like asking when there is light and we place an object in its path, why do shadows come?

It is simple; if there is light and one obstructs the light, shadow will surely exist. Our sins and our wrong doings are like obstructions to God's light (blessings). But our God is a merciful and loving God, even when He sees shadows He tries to bounce his light to overcome the shadows. At the same time He also instructs us and helps us to bring down the obstructions forever.

When we dwell in Zion (the fortified city of the Lord, abiding in Him) we will surely not be left ashamed and like Job and King Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 4) we will regain our blessings at the end of this desert.

Now you may ask when this desert's end will come. Let me tell you it will be sooner than you can expect. Being in business, I meet people who keep talking of the financial crisis that is devouring everyone, but at that time inside myself I laugh. For I know that this crisis will end very soon and my God will do it.

Keep the truth and the hope in you, before your eyes. For before you can expect things will change and you will be surely blessed.

[Prayer]

Lord, You are merciful and loving God. It surely does not please You to see your people suffer and You will show that You dwell among your people by the blessings which will radiate among them. I open my arms wide open to receive. I make this prayer of faith in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Joel 2:23-26

23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil.

25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

What is it like to be righteous?

Isaiah 41:10 - Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Righteousness means to be in the right. Like truth is connected only to the Word of God similarly righteousness is also connected only to the ways of the Lord. Man's righteousness can be called as being good but they still can not be truly called righteousness. Our world and sight is too small to know the right path.

The righteousness of God can be either good or bad for man. If we are on the right side or on the right hand of God's righteousness it will prosper us and build us. But if we are on the wrong side or the left hand, it will destroy us and still make us an example. Examples for both would be Moses and Pharaoh in Exodus; both were used as instruments to glorify God.

The Lord is telling us today 'fear not' which means believe in the truth, which is in the Lord and his Word and He will lift us up with his right hand. This means we will receive all the goodness of the Lord. So, just believe in your hearts and open your hands to receive.

[Prayer]

Lord, your Word can move mountains, both physically and in spirit (our problems). Lord help me close my physical senses to the bad news, especially my eyes that read all the depressing news on newspapers and my ears that hears all the disasters on radio, television and from people. Open my spiritual eyes Lord, that I may see all the great things that You have set before me to receive. I ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Between Love & Hate

1 John 4:20 - If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

The Lord dwells in His Temple. This Temple or Church is in the gathering of His people. This Temple is also in each and every individual who is part of the greater Temple. When we look into the eyes of a believer we will surely find the presence of God. Although it may be small or big, it will be there. When we get this truth into our system it will be very difficult to look into the eyes of any believer and say 'I hate you'.

Let us understand this every time without thinking we hate another believer.

[Prayer]

Lord, forgive me for the times I have hated my fellow believer. In ignorance I have hated your Temple. Lord, help me to overcome my anger and do not let me loose control of my thinking because of it. I make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Build Up Your Faith!

Romans 10:17 [KJV]
17 - So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

This is a favorite scripture of many preachers and evangelist to build faith. They always recommend, keep hearing the Word of God again and again to build faith. Some go to the extent of asking you to read the Word of God loud so that your ears could hear and your faith builds.

As I grew in the Lord I could see that this formula had no strength in it. In the start it did help but I could see many, who were regulars at prayer services, at bible sharing, even ministering to others, but people of little faith. There were also others who literally lived in churches but were hard hearted. So I looked at the scripture minutely
for scripture are true and do not fail. And I saw two things first a comma after the first hearing and second the words `hearing by the word'. So I asked to my self what does it mean `hearing by the word'? Then I investigated further by opening the Greek Interlinear and looked at the original Greek sentence and its word to word translation. Although I do not know Greek I noticed the script of the first hearing and the script of the second hearing they did not match perfectly. Now I asked the Lord what was the different? And the Lord gave me the understanding.

To make it simple to you: In English we have two words `to hear' and `to listen' which mean similar but yet are different.

The Oxford Dictionary defines: -
Hear: 1 perceive (a sound) with the ear. 2 be told or informed of.
Listen: 1 give one's attention to a sound. 2 make an effort to hear something.

The difference between `hearing' and `listening' is `the effort'. If a person just hears he will never understand but if he listens, he may understand. The scripture `hearing by the word' means; when the understanding comes.

Understanding comes, when wisdom works on knowledge. When we read or hear the Word of God it is just knowledge for us. As for wisdom there are two types; one that comes from experience and other from God (wisdom of God).

Experience comes with practice, so when we apply the Word of God in our lives we experience it and we understand it and our faith builds. Just do not hear the Word again and again for it will not help, put efforts to it, apply it, follow it and experience it, and let your faith build.

Since there are two wisdoms, there are two faiths: the faith that we build and the faith which comes from God. The faith which comes from God is given to us for the moment to get a job done, it does not remain for long. But the faith which we build remains in us and we can grow it. Grow your faith from a mustard seed to a tree that shelters others.

[ Prayer ]
Lord, help me as I make efforts to live Your Word in my life, so that I can grow in faith. For only by faith can I live in You and You in me. If I stumble You are there to help me, You are there to help me grow in faith. Do not let the fear of this world keep me from following Your Word, protect me at all times. I ask this prayer in the Name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.

[ Reference Scriptures ]
Romans 10:16-17 [NIV]
16-But not all the Israelites accepted the good news.
For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our message?"
17-Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.
18-But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did: "Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world."
19-Again I ask: Did Israel not understand? First, Moses says,
"I will make you envious by those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation that has no understanding."
20-And Isaiah boldly says, "I was found by those who did not seek me; I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me."
21-But concerning Israel he says, "All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and obstinate people."

Matthew 13:31-32
31-He told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field.
32-Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches."

The Truth will set you free

John 8:31-32 - Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 8:32 is one of the famous scriptures which is quoted in part ('you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free') and out of context by most. Know this; one cannot know the truth just by reading or studying the scriptures. The only way to know the truth is to be a true Christian. Unless we become disciples of Jesus Christ by living our lives like Him, we will not know the truth and be set free (overcome our sinful nature). People like to read and understand the Word, but the Bible tells us that understanding will only come when we put the Word into practice.
It is like a teacher who makes the student write it down so that the student remembers. Some may write once and remember, but some may need to write many a times to remember. Similarly it is with the Word of God, we may come to its true understanding the first time we apply it, or after many times of applying it. This understanding will then set us free.

In short only a true practicing Christian will know the truth and will overcome the sinful nature.

[Prayer]
Lord, I want to know the truth. Help me apply your Word in my life so that I may know the truth which will open my eyes and make me walk in light. I make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Surrender Every Bit!

1 Corinthians 10:5 - Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Dedicating one's life to the Lord is not like signing on a stamp paper, once done stands for every. To surrender or dedicate one's life to the Lord means to surrender each and every small event, desire and thought to the Lord. When we surrender to the Lord we need to allow the Lord (Holy Spirit) to work on us to build us. For example we may be reading the Bible but this will not help us much but do the opposite over a period of time unless we start to meditate on what we have read. It is during this meditating that the Lord starts to work and disclose the scripture to us. The difference is between putting food in the mouth and immediately swallowing it or chewing it and swallowing it. People who swallow un-chewed food run the risk of getting themselves choked.

Similarly every thing we do should be surrendered to the Lord to reveal and direct us as to how to discern and improve on them. It may be difficult in the start, but you can start by sitting at the end of the day and reviewing your whole day with the Lord and slowly you will be able to work on-line with Him.

The fear of God should be criteria to push us to do this. It is not that the Lord does not love us; He does love and forgives us many a times but we can not take His love and mercy for granted.

So let us give thought to our every though, action or desire by surrendering it to the Lord.

[Prayer]

Lord God, You are there with me and in me at all times, ready to help me and guide me to greener pastures. Help me not to take You for granted. Lord, help me surrender to You my every though, action and desire so that You can work on them and help me to filter them for my benefit. This I ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Are You Calling?

The physical inputs to our body are our nose and mouth, wherein air and food enters our body and builds it. Similarly the senses to our being are five - hearing, smell, touch, sight and taste, and they also help build our inner man (soul). But the output of our inner man are two our speech and our emotions (just not feelings includes character, knowledge, will etc.). It is our emotions that also account for our physical expressions.

When we truly call on to the Lord it should be our full being, which means just not talk but our inner man - the most important part of us should also cry out. When a person dies we do not address to the body of that person as he but it, because the most important parts of that person his inner man and his spirit have left his body.

Your flesh may say many things but what is more important is what is your inner man saying? Our prayers are answered more on what our inner man says, not our flesh.

The fear of the Lord (acknowledging the Lord for who He is) is done with your whole being, not part of it. Nobody would be okay with missing body parts, would you? So why in our prayer do parts of us miss?

Psalms 145:18-19 - The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

[Prayer]

Lord, You have made me a beautiful creation. Holy Spirit, help me in getting my whole being together in my prayer, so that my prayer be answered. I ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Do not pursue vain things

1 Samuel 12:20,21,22

20 And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart;

21 And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain.

22 For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.

This chapter of Samuel is one of my favorites. When I was under temptation this scripture and the grace of God helped me turn back and give up on those thoughts.

We have many things in life which we pursue and of these there are those which take us away from the Lord. If we come to the truth of them, they have no value in them - just vanity. They may fulfill the desire of our flesh - but our flesh dies. They may fulfill the desire of our ego - but it is our ego which becomes the hurdle when we pass though the eye of the needle.

When God calls anything a sin or instructs us not to do it. It is not because He does not want us to enjoy life, it is because either these things will keep is busy and prevent us from enjoying more of eternal life or completely destroy our eternal life.

The nature of Satan induced in us via Adam has one purpose - to destroy us by not letting us receive our eternal life. For this it keeps us busy and lost with things that have no reason or value. So let us open our spiritual eyes and see what we are doing which is not helping us prosper in the Lord and making up our minds let us work to keep away from them. At the same time let us pray for the grace of God to overcome them.

[Prayer]

Father God, You have great plans for us. All your plans are for our good, to prosper us. Lord, let not Satan and the nature which he has induced in us let us be lost in vanity. Open our eyes to these areas in our lives and give us the grace to overcome them. I ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Be patient and you will shall surely receive

Hebrew 10:36,37 - For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the

People send testimonies of how the message was for them for that day and how it affected them. The reason these mails are doing wonders is because I do not load you with Bible knowledge through this mailing exercise, but try to be an instrument for the Lord to talk to you. Therefore all messages are sent after praying and taking a scripture. I too do not know in the morning what I will write on but wait on the Lord to give me the scripture.

Today's message is in continuation of the last two messages and the message still is BE PATIENT YOUR PRAYER WILL BE ANSWERED or should I say YOUR PRAYER IS ALREADY ANSWERED BE PATIENT TILL YOU RECEIVE IT.

What is written in the Word God is written and nothing can change it, and what is spoken to you by the Lord also has to come to pass, nothing can stop it (other than you yourself).

Are you going to trust in the Lord and be patient and receive or is your faithlessness going to make you loose your blessings? You take a call.

[Prayer]

Lord, You are true to your Word. Help me Lord to keep my faith in You and not let my impatience make me loose my blessings which You will shower on me. I make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

You will be Questioned!

Job 8:7 -Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.

Job was considered a righteous person, but when problems fell on him, his righteousness was questioned. Even his very close friends questioned him.

Were his friends wrong in questioning him? No. For the Bible assures us that when the Lord is with us He satisfies all our needs. Job too had a problem in his character, even though he was considered righteous, yet he was not perfect (for Jesus was the only perfect human).

When the Lord opened Job's mind to his problem and Job accepting it; he corrected himself by praying for his friends even though it was not his friends but he who needs prayers. He was immediately shown mercy and blessed in multiplication to what he lost.

Since we are pursuing righteousness and have not attained it, our problems may be many but the Lord takes us through them all and we overcome. But if we are continuously in problem with no window or light at the end of the tunnel, we should seriously scrutinize ourselves. Because when we open our mind to it and correct it, we are considered as pursuing righteousness and are shown mercy and grace.

[Prayer]
Lord I thank You for your mercy and grace. As a person pursuing your righteousness through Jesus Christ, show me the area of my problem and give me the courage to accept and overcome so that I may see your glory. I make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Job 8:1-11
1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
2 How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?
3 Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?
4 If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;
5 If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;
6 If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
7 Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
8 For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:

Abide in the Vine to bring forth Fruit

John 15:5 - I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Abiding in Jesus Christ means to dwell in Jesus Christ.

How can one dwell in Jesus Christ?

Dwelling in Jesus Christ means to function in the Body of Christ according to our calling.

The Lord has called us not to just believe in Him but to be part of the functioning of his Body. Now you need to ask the Lord what is your function and understand it. Just as a vine grows in all directions we too being a part of the Body need to grow, not only grow but grow in all directions. And it is the Holy Spirit who is the one who will prune us as we grow, for He is the caretaker of this vine.

If you are not part of this vine I invite you on behalf of Jesus Christ to be a part of it and to grow much fruit.

[Prayer]

Lord, I want to grow and bear much fruit as a part of the Body of Lord Jesus Christ. Direct me, lead me, prune me and help me grow as part of the Body of Christ. I ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Romans 12:4-8

4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

John 15:1-2

1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

1 Corinthians 12:6-12

6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

Is HE amongst Us?

Leviticus 26:12 - And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

The Lord had spoken to his people and promised them the best of things. They included a satisfied life with least amount of efforts to meet their requirements. The Lord spoke to them saying even before their stocks get over new stocks will flow. This was because He would make their hearts his sanctuary and dwell among them. For this He had just one condition given to them and that was to keep his instructions. But He also promised them another promise that if they did not keep the instructions He would do the worst to them which included many disasters which I will like you to read in the below scripture. These promises were not only to those people but are also for us who are children of the Lord. The Lord is true to his promise, so let us decide for ourselves which of the two promises have we opted for; the first or the second.

It is only his grace that we have received through Jesus Christ that we have not seen the worst. The day man rejects this grace we will surely receive the second promise in full. I would not want that to happen nor would you, so let us take a decision at this moment of grace and receive his first promise by making our decision to follow the Lord's instructions.

[Prayer]

Lord, You are merciful, but You are true to your Word. It is only your grace which we have received through Jesus Christ, that we see your patience and dilution of your wrath. Lord open the eyes of your people and let them realize it is time they turn back and follow your instructions in spirit. I make this prayer in Jesus Christ, Amen.

[Reference Scripture]

Leviticus 26:1-33

1 'You shall not make idols for yourselves; neither a carved image nor a sacred pillar shall you rear up for yourselves; nor shall you set up an engraved stone in your land, to bow down to it; for I am the LORD your God.

2 You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary: I am the LORD.

3 'If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them,

4 then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

5 Your threshing shall last till the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last till the time of sowing; you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

6 I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil beasts, and the sword will not go through your land.

7 You will chase your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you.

8 Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you.

9 'For I will look on you favorably and make you fruitful, multiply you and confirm My covenant with you.

10 You shall eat the old harvest, and clear out the old because of the new.

11 I will set My tabernacle among you, and My soul shall not abhor you.

12 I will walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.

13 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves; I have broken the bands of your yoke and made you walk upright.

14 'But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments,

15 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant,

16 I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

17 I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you.

18 'And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

19 I will break the pride of your power; I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze.

20 And your strength shall be spent in vain; for your land shall not yield its produce, nor shall the trees of the land yield their fruit.

21 'Then, if you walk contrary to Me, and are not willing to obey Me, I will bring on you seven times more plagues, according to your sins.

22 I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, destroy your livestock, and make you few in number; and your highways shall be desolate.

23 'And if by these things you are not reformed by Me, but walk contrary to Me,

24 then I also will walk contrary to you, and I will punish you yet seven times for your sins.

25 And I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; when you are gathered together within your cities I will send pestilence among you; and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

26 When I have cut off your supply of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall bring back your bread by weight, and you shall eat and not be satisfied.

27 'And after all this, if you do not obey Me, but walk contrary to Me,

28 then I also will walk contrary to you in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

29 You shall eat the flesh of your sons, and you shall eat the flesh of your daughters.

30 I will destroy your high places, cut down your incense altars, and cast your carcasses on the lifeless forms of your idols; and My soul shall abhor you.

31 I will lay your cities waste and bring your sanctuaries to desolation, and I will not smell the fragrance of your sweet aromas.

32 I will bring the land to desolation, and your enemies who dwell in it shall be astonished at it.

33 I will scatter you among the nations and draw out a sword after you; your land shall be desolate and your cities waste.

Is Your Hearing Blocked?

O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever! - Deuteronomy 5:29

The Lord manifested Himself on Mount Sinai to prove to the Israelites that He spoke from Heaven so that they follow the Commandments given by Him. The manifestation bought about so much fear in the Israelites that they approached Moses asking him to be a medium between God and them (Exodus 20:18-19). They feared that if they heard the voice of the Lord they would die. This fear was true, the voice of the Lord kills; it kills the flesh and builds the spirit. The Lord knew the Israelites from within their hearts and knew deep within they had some area that they did not want to change. If they heard the voice of the Lord it would affect them and change them.

We all have the tendency to put others in between the Lord and us to be a medium in between. Deep within we have some areas in our lives which have placards ‘Out of bounds’ even for the Lord. We tell the Lord chance me all over but this area, please do not touch. I am afraid it may change my identity or change my life completely. Therefore we do not make efforts to hear God directly, once we hear we know it will do its job.

Please do not protect any area of your old inner man, for when problems come or when you are tested, this area will pop its head and overtake your whole being. Crush it when it is small or asleep so that you do not struggle too much, latter. Hear the voice of the Lord, prayer to Him, read his Word, keep your heart still and you will hear Him.

[ Prayer ]
Lord, You know I am weak and scared, scared to change completely. But You know Lord I love You. I want to hear your voice, speak to me. Change me Lord by your Word but be gentle with me like a small baby in its mother’s bosom. I ask this prayer in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

Behind Enemy Lines

It is not easy to be a Christian for one of the tests to be a Christian is to love your enemies. For Christ we become a mirror, what He has shown us we reflect to the world, but for man we do not become a mirror but a picture of Christ. Whatever they do to us should not change us, we still show them Christ in us. It is easy said than done, but if you get the understanding, you will find it easy to do it.

People are like clothes used by spirits, do not hate people. It is only out of they ignorance or lack of understanding they are been used. We should not hate man but the evil spirits that use man. If we get angry or react accordingly, we fall to their game. Jesus said in Matthew 18:21-22 to forgive not just seven times but seventy times seven.

Matthew 18:21-22

21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

This is nothing to do with numbers but if you understand 'seven' stood for wholeness. The word used in the Bible for 'seven' is also translated as 'oath'. So get the deeper picture.

You should understand your real enemy; hate not the enemy you see but the ones you do not see.

So next time you react to another person the way expected, you will see the real enemy laughing at you. He first destroyed that person he used to now start his destruction in you.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

[ Prayer ]

Lord Jesus, You showed us how to be perfect like You. Let me be focused with my spiritual eyes open and see the things that were in the dark. Let me not fall for the spawn but get the real enemy defeated. I ask this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Rejoicing in Crisis

Philippians 4:4-5 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

Paul in his letter to the Philippians gives a very beautiful instruction of what to do in crisis. He tells us not to look at our current situation but to keep our eyes focused on the Day of the Lord, the day when we will be out of this desert and will enter into our promise. That does not mean we start to dance, the Greek word he uses for moderation is 'epieikes' which also means patience. That means we should let others know that we are in waiting of that day.

Another instruction which he parts to us in verses 6 and 7 is not to be anxious (careful - Greek 'merimnao') about the bad or the good but by prayer, personal request along with thankfulness put it to the Lord. Only then will we be over our crisis.

So let us put this instruction into practice as we go through our crisis await our promise.

[Prayer]

Lord, You have given me your Word that You will deliver me from my crisis and bless abundantly. Lord, I set my eyes unto You and your Kingdom, give me the heart to be patient and the strength to endure my current situation. I ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scripture]

Philippians 4:6-7

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Cast All Your Burdens on Him this New Year!

Psalms 55:22 - Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Most people think that once you cast your burden unto the Lord you shall be happy and when they do not see it happen they feel very disappointed. There are many reasons; some of them are:-

1) They temporarily cast they burden and take it back latter.

2) They case their burden and wait for the problem to solve but do not see it happen, they get disappointed. If their faith is based only on this scripture then the scripture does not say your problem will be sorted. It clearly says that the Lord will sustain thee, which means even though the problem exists you will not be crushed by it.

3) To be not at all affected by the problem one needs to not only have faith; but also to walk in the path of righteousness.

In this New Year, let's fulfill the conditions of the scripture and receive its harvest.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You are my helper, You make sure I am not crushed under my burden, You take the most part of my burden. Lord, help me confine in You and walk the path of righteousness that I may not be moved by my problems. I make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.
