Knowledge of God and love brings peace

Psalms 122:6, 7 - Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.

If we are worshiping one Lord and following one Shepherd, then how can there be flocks of sheep going in different directions? Is the Shepherd not doing his job or are we being misguided by a wolf calling himself shepherd?

Like they were being exploited due to lack of knowledge so also we Christians have been exploited due to lack of knowledge of the Word of God. It is only the understanding of the Word that will bring light and unity between us. Before I too was lead by blind people who themselves did not read the Bible (but read all other books). But ever since I followed the real (Good) Shepherd my eyes opened to see the truth, there was peace within me and I was lead to good pastures (peace around me and with my situations).

Things may not be perfect with you, like it is not with me; but there will be drastic change in your circumstances when there is peace within you (when the Lord is with you / you are following the Good Shepherd). Many things may come up against you from different directions but they will all die down and will not harm you.

The only way of having peace in us and among us is when we have love among us and the knowledge and understanding of the Lord in us. So let us pray and commit ourselves to the knowledge of God so that there is peace among us.

[Prayer]
Father God, I pray for peace with your people. That your Spirit lead them to your knowledge and understanding. All that is not of your Kingdom within them may be expelled by the light of your Word. Expose the wolves that are misleading your flock. I ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Proverbs 2:1-8
1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.

Hosea 6:5-6 [ESV]

5 Therefore I have hewn them by the prophets;
I have slain them by the words of my mouth,
and my judgment goes forth as the light.
6 For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice,
the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.
